Since the beginning of the year, the design team has done a tremendous amount of work to move the project back closer to the finish line. We’re working on the front and rear subframes, suspension and wheel kinematics, and steering. The individual components selected, backed by technical calculations, are gradually fitting together like a precise jigsaw puzzle, but there is still room for optimising the systems and fine-tuning them. With the first concept of the wheel suspension kinematics and steering setup, multibody simulations are underway, while experience is being gathered with the drive control SW for torque delivery to the individual wheels. The concept of the whole control software has been developed at the Brno University of Technology and currently the individual code blocks are being detailed, refined and further mathematical models of the control are being added. At the same time, a test condition for the power units and their control hardware has been prepared in the BUT laboratories, which will give us real data in a very short time that will be used to set up certain specific parts of the whole car control system.

The safety of the pilot is not forgotten either. The designers of Sigma Motor s.r.o. have prepared the basis for the production of a safety protection frame, which will be connected to the chassis parts and will of course meet the prescribed parameters of the international automotive organization FIA, which will allow the car to participate in domestic and international races.
